Claypot Popo Melawai

Daerah Melawai dan Blok M adalah tempat gaul hits pada masanya. Masa saya masih SMA sebenarnya, tapi masalahnya saya bukan anak gaul plus lokasi tempat tinggal yang jauh dari BLOK M membuat saya jarang ke sana. Saya bahkan masih ingat jumlah kunjungan ke sana yang masih bisa dihitung dengan jari. Naik bus tingkat bersama teman sekolah untuk nongkrong bareng saja. Jajanannya jelas bukan es kopi susu atau boba seperti sekarang. 

Akhir pekan lalu, saya janjian dengan teman di area Melawai - Blok M. Saya berangkat dari rumah dengan busway dan turun di halte busway BLOK M. Saya menggunakan jalan pintas lewat bawah agar langsung keluar di area Melawai dekat Blok M Square.

What makes you decide that you need to visit that coffee shop or restaurant? Someone once asked me that question, and I just realized... I only need a place to hang out with friends and to take selfies and photos of my outfits. Sometimes, if I'm lucky then I will enjoy the company of my friends or myself with good meal and a cup of hot chocolate. And then one day, I stumbled on my friend's Instagram post about Subo Jakarta.

From various photos that I have seen, it seems this place have small areas and not a lot spots for taking photos. But my curiosity arise when I find no information about their location other than somewhere in South Jakarta. It turn out, I have to follow several procedures before visit and dine in at Subo. 

First of all, I try to contact them through direct message on Instagram, and continue our conversation via Whatsapp. These are the following information that I can give you :

Apa sih giveaway?

Ada yang pernah menanyakan itu ke saya dan gunanya apa?
Giveaway sendiri artinya kalau mengintip di kamus: MEMBERIKAN. Jadi memang aneh ya kalau dialih bahasakan: kami mengadakan giveaway. Tapi pada intinya, giveaway adalah memberikan sesuatu. Saya sendiri (walau termasuk jarang) juga beberapa kali mengadakan giveaway. 

Kebanyakan giveaway diberikan tanpa persyaratan berat dan murni untung-untungan. Kalau jaman pra-internet, seperti undian pada saat acara kantor atau pesta. Dapat ya syukur banget tanpa perlu sembah sujud sama yang mengocok nomor undian. Kalau tidak beruntung, paling ngoceh bareng sama yang senasib, pulang dengan tangan kosong. Tanpa perlu asah golok untuk membacok yang mengundi. 

Giveaway juga sering diadakan oleh majalah-majalah, ada yang masih ingat majalah seperti Reader Digest, HAI, Femina? Beberapa kali saya suka ikutan saja kuis yang diadakan oleh mereka, karena hadiahnya lumayanlah. Dapat tiket nonton film, voucher makan hingga tiket konser. Kebiasaan ini berlanjut hingga era media sosial seperti Twitter dan kemudian Instagram. Karena lumayan sering dapat, saya jadi ketagihan. Lalu mulai deh saya juga ikutan mengadakan giveaway. 

Belajar Tahu (AJA) CLUBHOUSE

Jadi ceritanya beberapa waktu lalu, melihat teman sesama blogger Eka Situmorang-Sir said thanks karena sudah diundang temannya untuk masuk Clubhouse. 

Penasaran duong, jadilah saya tanya Eka, Clubhouse itu apa sih? Mau dong ikutan. Dan Eka pun mengirimkan undangannya ke saya lewat nomor handphone. Karena saya belum install apps-nya, maka install dulu barulah bisa join.

Terus bingung. Ini apps sebenarnya buat apa ya? Kebiasaan, yang penting ikutan dulu nanti cari tahunya belakangan aja.

Public Transportation #NEWNORMAL Health Protocol

Due to the pandemic, I am not allowed to use public transportation by my bosses. So, sometimes I went to the office with my colleague. Most of the times, round trip using motorbike to and from the office with office boy.  It went on like that for a couple of months, until riot from demonstration against Omnibus law occurred. I have to consider, whether the office boy would be able to arrive home safely after taking me home, through demonstrator. So, I told him to drop me at the nearest commuter line station. 

At the beginning, I felt like hillbillies standing in front of Sawah Besar train station. It’s been months since the last time I used commuter line. I wasn’t sure having enough balance in my prepaid card to use the commuter line. Not to mention I wasn’t familiar with the train station to begin with. I have to find red box to check the balance and then I have to ask which line the train station to certain location. And it only has 2 lines but I feel like an idiot.
